Overview

We are looking for a responsible and compassionate Kennel Staff teammate ; to contribute to the daily operations of our dog boarding and care facility. The ideal candidate must have strong teamwork skills, a passion for animals, tolerance for redundancy, lift up to 50 pounds, ability to go up and down ramps and/or stairs

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to day-to-day kennel operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all dogs.
• Monitor dog health, behavior, feeding schedules, and exercise routines.
• Adjust as needed to scheduling, training, and supervision.
• Maintain detailed records of dog check-ins, vaccinations, feeding, grooming, and medical requirements.
• Coordinate with veterinarians, groomers, kennel manager, drivers, and/or pet owners as needed.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding care instructions, medical updates, and facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Handle emergency situations with calmness and proper protocol.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and place orders when required.

Requirements

• Prior experience in kennel management, animal care, or veterinary assistant role preferred.
• Strong understanding of dog behavior, breeds, and handling techniques.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit — must be comfortable walking, lifting, and handling dogs of all sizes.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and scheduling.

Preferred Skills

Customer service experience.

Certification in animal care, canine handling, or related field.

First aid knowledge for pets.
